Is there any way to connect to SRAM with bytes select function?

Latest Updated:03/25/2009

Question:

Is there any way to connect to SRAM with bytes select function?

Answer:

•When the byte select function is not used. (16 bits bus width fixed)

Connect either WRH# pin or WRL# pin to WE# pin of SRAM.

•When the byte select function is used.

It is necessary for the signals of RD#, WRH#, and WRL # to decode by the external circuit.

Please refer to the SH7145 Interface Volume Application Note. There are some examples for interfaces with 4M bit (256k×16)SRAM in the note.
Note)SRAM with byte selection function indicates SRAM that has the data pin and UB pin in 16 bits, and that it is possible to select accessing the upper byte and lower byte.
