How do I get rid of annoying warnings from code analysis in e2 studio?

Latest Updated:09/19/2016

Question:

I see lots of warnings in my code from the code analyzer that don't really interest me. How can I get rid of them?

Answer:

You can turn off code analyzer warnings or errors if you are not interested in seeing them. Just open the properties settings window for your project (right click on the project and Properties are at the bottom of the window). Once the properties window is open expand the C/C++ General section and select Code Analysis. You will see a window similar to the one below:

You can either configure settings by project or by workspace by selecting the desired button in the upper left side of the window. If you select Use Project Settings, the configuration window becomes immediately active and you can select the properties you want. If you want to configure this on a workspace basis, note that you need to click on the Configure Workspace Settings button at the upper right. A new configuration window comes up and you can select workspace options there.

If you want to limit the number of errors from Syntax and Semantic checks, for example, de-select that check box. The below window shows this setting de-selected. Configure these properties as you want for your design style. The click Apply to store the settings.

After de-selecting the appropriate properties your e2 studio Code Analysis should operate as you desire.
