Description about inclusion of the header file in the standard library (CC-RL)

Last Updated:06/14/2017

Question:

I am using RL78 Compiler CC-RL. I am trying to include the header file to use a function in the standard library.

There seems to be the following two methods to include the header file. Which do you recommend?

 #include ""file-name""
 #include <file-name>

Answer:

The order of searching the include file is different for each method.

- In the case of #include <file-name>

 (1) Folders specified by the -I option
 (2) Standard include file folders

- In the case of #include ""file-name""

 (1) Folders that store files containing #include ""character-string""
 (2) Folders specified by the -I option
 (3) Standard include file folders

The header file for the standard library functions provided by the compiler is stored in the standard include file folder. Therefore, we recommend that you use #include <file-name>, which does not search unnecessary paths.
