No header file for device’s SFR definitions in new project CS+

Last Updated:06/14/2017

Question:

I created a new project with CS+ but I can’t find the header file for the device’s special function register (SFR) definitions and I can’t determine the SFR definitions.

Answer:

The SFRs are defined in a binary file called a device information file (DIF) on CS+ for CA,CX and the user cannot reference the actual definitions.

SFRs are defined using the Symbol as listed in the SFR List, located in the section titled “Special function registers (SFRs)”on User's Manual: Hardware.

In CS+ for CC, the iodefine.h file in which the SFR definitions are defined is generated when creating a project.
